Privacy policy
Effective October 31, 2026
I want to be 100% transparent with you. Here's exactly what I do with your info, no jargon.
This page explains what personal information I collect when you visit ondatamedia.com or book a call, why I collect it, and what you can do to see it, correct it or have it deleted.
01Who's responsible
Ondata Media is the business of Antoine L'Italien, a video editor based in Quebec City.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information
Antoine L'Italien, owner
antoine@ondatamedia.com
02What I collect and why
When you book a call. Booking is done through Calendly. You enter your name, your email address and any answers you choose to give. I only use them to set up the call, reach you and prepare our conversation. The call takes place on Google Meet.
When you email me. If you email me, I receive your address, your name and the content of your message. I use them to reply.
When we work together. I use your contact details and the files you send me (footage, audio, logos) only to complete your project and bill you.
I collect nothing else about you, I never sell or rent your information, and I don't use it for advertising.
03Cookies and tracking
This site uses no analytics tools, no ad pixels and no tracking cookies.
A few technical services still receive basic data when you visit, such as your IP address and browser type:
- Netlify hosts the site and keeps this data to run and protect it.
- Google Fonts provides the site's typefaces.
- YouTube provides some videos, embedded in privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube may collect data when you play one of these videos.
04The services I use
To run my business, I use outside services that process some of your information on my behalf: Calendly (booking), Google (Meet and fonts), Netlify (website hosting), Zoho (email) and YouTube (videos).
These companies may store information outside Quebec, including in the United States. Each one applies its own privacy policy.
05How long I keep it
I only keep your information as long as needed. If we don't end up working together after a call, I delete your contact details within 12 months. If you're a client, I keep billing records for as long as tax laws require, which is 6 years.
06How I protect it
I'm the only one with access to your information. It's stored in password-protected accounts. If a privacy incident ever created a risk of serious harm, I would notify you and Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information.
07Your rights
At any time, you can:
- ask what information I have about you and get a copy of it;
- have it corrected if it's inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw your consent and ask me to delete it.
Email me at antoine@ondatamedia.com. I'll reply within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with my answer, you can contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
08Updates
If I change the way I handle your information, I'll update this page and change the date at the top.
